effective since March 2023. With immense pleasure, we extend a warm welcome to Mr.Caumont as he takes the helm of our management team.

that will give you a glimpse into Mr.Christophe T. Caumont’s leadership and aspirations for our hotel as the following;
Q: Please give us a short introduction about you and your career background.
Sure, I am an experienced hotel General Manager with over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry. I started in the industry in Michelin starred restaurant in France and developed an F&B background with luxury hotels in Paris, England, China, South Korea, Thailand and Vietnam. I joined Accor Group in 2006 as the F&B Director for Novotel Ambassador Gangnam in Seoul South Korea and then Sofitel Silom in Bangkok Thailand before relocating to Vietnam for the opening of the MGallery Hotel de l’Opera Hanoi as Executive Assistant Manager. In 2001 I opened and owned the first “London style” Lounge Bar & restaurant in Shanghai and I also owned two flower “shops” in Shanghai first and then in Beijing making and delivering creative flower arrangements for 5 star hotels all over China. While on a 2 year break in Europe I co-owned and operated an Irish pub & restaurant in Liege Belgium. Wanting to come back to Asia I took over the position of Director of Operations at Grand Mercure Danang in Vietnam followed by General Manager position at Novotel Yangon Max in Myanmar. My family and I are thrilled and thankful to be in Phuket Thailand having joined a wonderful Team at Movenpick Myth Patong. I am passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences while also ensuring financial success for the hotel. As I always say “I work with the Heart” and I have a keen interest wherever I am in serving the community in any way I can. My favorite quote in life is “Never be so busy as not to think of others”.
Q: As a hotel General Manager, what is your management style?
My management style is collaborative and supportive. I believe in empowering my team members to take ownership of their roles and responsibilities while also providing guidance/coaching to develop and support when needed. I prioritize open communication and transparency to ensure that everyone is aligned and working towards the same goals… with their Heart.
Q: What is a book, podcast, or media resource that you have recently read / listen to regularly that inspired/inspires you?
One of my favorite resources is the Hospitality Marketing Podcast by Loren Gray. It provides valuable insights and strategies for marketing and promoting hotels, as well as interviews with industry leaders and experts. I also enjoy reading books on leadership and management, such as “Good to Great” by Jim Collins and “The One Minute Manager” by Ken Blanchard.
Q: What measures do you have in place to ensure the organization’s compliance with regulations and industry standards?
Compliance with regulations and industry standards is critical to the success of any hotel. To ensure compliance, we have a systematic approach that includes regular training sessions, audits, and a quality assurance program. We also have a dedicated team that stays up-to-date with relevant regulations and industry standards and implements any necessary changes to our policies and procedures.
Q: Can you share what you believe is key in leading a successful hotel today?
Leading a successful hotel today requires a focus on guest satisfaction and experience. This means paying attention to every detail, from the quality of the amenities and services to the cleanliness of the rooms. It also requires a strong financial expertise to ensure profitability and sustainable growth. Additionally, it is important to stay up-to-date with industry trends and technology to stay ahead of the competition and be trendsetters.
Q: If we were to visit your hotel, what would make it stand out from the competition?
